Privacy Policy

Last Updated: April 2026

Introduction

DodgyElma ("we", "our", or "the app") is an iOS game published by the DodgyElma team. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. By using DodgyElma, you agree to the practices described here.

Summary — What to Know in 30 Seconds

Information We Collect

Account & Identity

Gameplay & Progress

Diagnostics

Support & Device Context

To help us answer support emails quickly we store a small, non-personally-identifying technical snapshot with your save profile:

We do not collect your device's assigned name (e.g. "Abhishek's iPhone"), your phone number, your contacts, photos, precise location, advertising identifier (IDFA), carrier, or network details.

Notifications

Advertising (future)

The app includes the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Ad-related features are currently disabled and no ads are served. If and when ads are enabled in a future update, you will be presented with Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. Personalized advertising depends on your response to that prompt. Non-personalized ads may still be served if you decline.

How We Use the Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data to train advertising profiles outside of the AdMob integration described above.

Third-Party Services

DodgyElma integrates with the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy that governs how it handles data on its end.

Data We Store Locally

The following is cached on your device using iOS UserDefaults or the app's sandboxed file system, in addition to being synced to the cloud where noted:

Local data is removed when you uninstall the app.

Children's Privacy

DodgyElma is appropriate for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 beyond the pseudonymous identifiers described above. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information (for example, by linking a Google/Apple account), please contact us and we will delete the associated records. The app complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) to the extent applicable.

Your Rights and Choices

GDPR (European Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the UK, GDPR gives you additional rights:

California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information as defined under CCPA. To exercise your California rights, contact us at the address below.

Data Retention

Save profile data persists in Firestore until you request deletion or your account is inactive for 24 months. Crashlytics reports are retained per Google's standard retention (currently 90 days). Analytics aggregates are retained per your Firebase project's configured retention (default 14 months).

Data Security

Data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Data at rest in Firebase services is encrypted by Google's standard infrastructure protections. Access to the backend is limited to authorized developers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International Transfers

Firebase and Google services may store and process data in data centers in the United States and other countries. By using the app, you consent to this transfer.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, when we turn on rewarded ads, add new features, or change how data is used. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top and, where practical, in-app. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
